Dark Chocolate and Raspberries

Greetings Loved Ones!

I have wonderful news. Dark Chocolate and Raspberries has been accepted by Silver Publishing and will be released in April. I'm so tickled that this story is being published. **doing dance around computer** I hope you all like it and enjoy it. I'll give you a little taste of what it's about, now this is an unedited blurb but it will give you a touch of the story...

Taj Graft, a 20-year-old, junior in college, is tall, dark, and handsome. He’s the talented Student Assistant for Director Hondo Browne in the university music department. He accompanies the director to evaluate a soloist, who Director Browne has recruited to the university. Director Browne wants Taj to take special care of this soloist, as his talent is phenomenal, but as wonderful as his talent, his Diva complex is almost as far reaching.

Dylan Michaels is an 18-year-old freshman Diva. He’s a spoiled rich kid, who takes pleasure in pushing others around or is he. He’s slight and fragile in appearance but appearances can be deceiving. He has blonde wavy hair that hangs below his shoulders and brown black eyes. Dylan knows Taj, but Taj can't figure out where he could’ve met the young male soprano soloist before. Taj takes Dylan under his wing and once he breaks past the Diva, he finds Dylan to be an attentive shy young man. He begins to discover that he has feelings for Dylan, when Dylan walks in on Taj kissing a drunken Ben. Stunned Dylan runs from the room as Taj gives chase, trying to catch him to tell him the kiss he saw was the result of a game played in the dorm called 'Raspberries'.

Will their love blossom into kisses, drown in drunken chocolates, or erupt in raucous raspberries in Dark Chocolate and Raspberries.

So just keep an eye out for it. The release date is tentatively April 2011.

Love and Butterflies,

Sui~~

"Bastet" by T. A. Chase an m/m romance

Greetings Loved Ones,

Ok, I know, I should be plugging my own work and not another author's title, but I have to share this with you all. I recently read Bastet by T.A. Chase. It was a really great HEA read. The story was original and I loved the Egyptian turn on the shape shifter storyline. It was a lot of fun and full of suspense. I got into the characters and was very happy with the flow of the story. I snickered at the references to, of all things ... Captain Planet... I laughed myself silly with the cross between these Egyptian shape shifters paying homage to their ancient gods and the Saturday morning cartoon. I highly recommend it and will be waiting with baited breath for the next installment in this series. Bravo!!

Editing it just never ends....

Greetings Loved Ones,

I'm entrenched in my writing, editing and more writing. I've sent off my M/M Gargoyle romance to my beta readers and I'm beginning to get feed back on the story. I'm really excited by the comments I'm seeing. I see I have some work still to do on the story as a whole, but I'm receiving a lot of positive comments on the story... comments beside 'geez your punctuation sucks!'. Which is a good thing I think. LOL! I have a feeling that this gargoyle story has the potential to turn into a series. I think the next volume will also include a phoenix but it is still in the very raw planning stages so I'm not sure where it is going exactly. If it does, it will be a m/m/m story, so it will be a new dynamic for me. The characters are still whispering in my ear as to what their stories are, so only time will tell.

I am working on a m/m regency/steampunk shape shifter story. I know... another shape shifter story, do we really need another shape shifter story. My answer... YES! I don't know what it is about shape shifters that have my imagination running wild but I can't seem to get enough of them. I read a lot of shape shifter and vampire stories and love every minute of them, both the good and the not so good stories. I just grab every story I can get my hands on and enjoy the heck out of them. As they are my current diversion, it was only a matter of time before I heard whisperings from them as well. I'm only a couple chapters into the shifter story I'm currently writing so I can't tell you much about it other than I'm finding the steampunk aspect of it a true challenge and I'm loving the world it is creating. I hope you will all enjoy it too.

Ok, I'm heading back into the depths of the editing and writing scattered about my desk.

Wishing you love and Butterflies!

Dark Chocolate and Raspberries

Greetings Loved Ones,

I'm happy to tell you that I have finally submitted Dark Chocolate and Raspberries to my publisher and after many rewrites and edits, they are considering it for publishing. I have a very good feeling about this book. The story is sweet, lovey dovey and fast paced. I'm hoping it will be available for everyone to enjoy soon.

I'm deeply entrenched in a gargoyle love story, I'm calling Adel's Purr it is almost ready for my pre-readers to give it a go. I have always loved the gothic mystery involved in the stone creatures and when they come to life they are truly miraculous to behold. No love lasts longer than a love bound in stone. Keep your eyes open for this one ... I'm loving getting it ready for you so I hope you will enjoy it as well.

Wishing you Love and Butterflies!

Editing it just never ends....

Greetings Loved Ones,

Just wanted to give everyone an update. I'm working on my editing and those of you who know me, know I HATE editing. I know its important and it only makes the final story that much better, but it truly is this author's nemesis. After having written the story and having gone through it, then sending it to trusted readers who read and give me their opinions and I rewrite the same said story again, then send it off for another re-read followed by another bout of editing. Then you send same said manuscript to your publisher who decides if it is marketable and if they choose it they ask for re-writes after which it goes to the official editors who send it back for more editing ... does anyone sense a pattern here yet! By the time the actual manuscript is accepted the story is literally burned into the back of my eyelids.

Ok, yes I'm whining. I love writing, I love telling stories. I couldn't love working with words and painting pictures with words. Bringing my characters to life ... Still the editing ... although necessary ... is driving me crazy...

That was my bit of whining for the day. I'm now going to play with Brie (one of my cocker spaniel dogs ... not cheese :P~~ ).

Thats all for now ... keep reading and hopefully soon I will have a new release.

Working on my next piece

Greetings Loved Ones...

Well lately I've been buried in my writing. I have a couple stories I'm working on including a college M/M story called Dark Chocolate and Raspberries. I really enjoy the story line and it has some really funny scenes in it. It is in the early stages, but I think it is a very sound story. It is full of self discovery, angst and confusion, my two young men learn to be strong together and that being together makes them both stronger than when they were alone. They both learn to stand on their own two feet with the support of the one they love. It is really coming together nicely, but the editing is not done.

Editing ... I think I spend more time editing than anything else. the stories are the easy part, its the editing that is horror written. For this author, nothing in the world is worse than editing. It is a meaningful exercise that proves to me over and over again how much I don't have a grasp of the English language regardless of the fact that it is my first language. I love to write and I endeavor to create beautiful, heart felt characters that will find their way to happy endings. But the editing is really going to be the part that drives me to distraction... lol.

Anyway, happy reading and I will see you between the lines.

Vacation

Greetings Loved ones...

I just got back from a short vacation to the great state of Iowa. It is really beautiful country, much different from my home. Lots of trees and corn fields. I really enjoyed myself. It was peaceful and relaxing, two things I really needed. I feel refreshed and I have a million new stories bubbling through my veins.

My plot bunnies have been multiplying as I have been away from my computer. Now I have to get them all caged before they get away. LOL!!

I hope you are all enjoying Blue Rose! I know it is a very sweet story and if anyone has questions for me about the story, I would be more than happy to answer, drop me a line.

4 Days and Counting!!

Greetings Loved Ones! Lets take a Journey... (in the words of snoop dog)

Well there are 4 days till the release of Blue Rose! I'm so excited I can't hardly stand it.

Here is the link for those of you that haven't found it yet:
http://www.dreamspinnerpress.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=1955

There is also an excerpt for the book so enjoy! I'm so excited I can't hardly wait. I'm hoping that everyone will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. DreamSpinner Press is amazing and they made this process painless even for a newbie like me. If you enjoy the book or hate the book, I want to hear it all. I love hearing from the people who read my work. It helps me to become better.

I come from a YAOI background. I have been a fangirl since discovering the genre. My ultimate would be to write a manga for an artist. Unfortunately I am totally unskilled and couldn't draw a straight line. Thank god for computers because if I had to submit a manuscript longhand, I would never be published!

See you in the funny pages...

Cover Art

I received my painted Cover Art today. It's fabulous! I couldn't be more pleased. It is beautiful and I truly love it. I can't wait to get a full color poster to put on my wall. I'm so thrilled it is beyond everything... It is so thrilling to be able to have my work coming out. "Blue Rose" should be available towards the end of August if everything continues to move smoothly. I can't thank the people at DreamSpinner enough, they truly are the spinner of dreams and I can't say enough of how wonderful they are. They are professional and I would recommend them to every beginning author out there. God knows they put up with my question after question after question.

See you in the funny pages... :D

Cover Art

I received a sketch of my cover art for "Blue Rose" today. I'm thrilled with it! The artist really did my vision justice. I'm ecstatic. I hope I get the chance to purchase at least a print of the artwork. I would love to hang it on my wall. I'm beside myself. I never dreamed that something I wrote would become a real novella.

Now I need to write... I'm pumped! Off to romance ... :D

Today

You know it is true what they say about when you are young your parents take care of you and when your parents get older the roles become reversed. The older I become, my parents who are in their 80's are becoming more childlike.

They have been together over 60 years and they are still in love. I think I get some of my inspiration for true love romance from them. Not that they are all lovey dovey, because they aren't but I truly doubt that one could live happily without the other.

The fact that I have rarely seen them have a true fight and alway respect each other. That they always are giving and lifting each other up instead of trying to get one up on each other makes me believe that there truly are soul mates out there in the world. True love does exist as well as everlasting love.

So I continue to write the purest love and romance that inspires my imagination.

Ok, here we go.

I've never been a blogger so this is my first blog. Just got home from work and now its time to get to work... ha! The thunderstorm is about to hit and we are suppose to have some really bad storms tonight so I don't know how long I will be able to work on my writing tonight.

I can't explain how excited I am about my Novella 'Blue Rose' coming out on Dreamspinner. They have been just fabulous to work with.

Well so much for blog one.

Remember there is always time for Love.
